چکیده
There are many modern technologies for strengthening concrete. One of them is Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Polymer (CFRP) sheets. cases that require concrete strengthening, including the weakness from design strength due to exposure elements fires or less control quality. This research provides a theoretical study analyze behavior low RC beams strengthened with CFRP sheets using ANSYS software. The contained (75) beam model specimens. Six verifying results experimental tests. Forty five specimens were used studying flexural and twenty four models shear behavior. conducted variable parameters includes thickness, strength, yield stress steel, application plies. very similar test results. proved increasing load capacity it effective in case steel. Flexural Testing of High Strength Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with CFRP Sheets
The objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of externally bonded CFRP sheets to increase the flexural strength of reinforced high strength concrete (HSC) beams. Four-point bending flexural tests to complete failure on six concrete beams, strengthened with different layouts of CFRP sheets were conducted. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element (FE) models were adopted by A...
متن کاملFatigue Assessment Model of Corroded RC Beams Strengthened with Prestressed CFRP Sheets
This paper presents a fatigue assessment model that was developed for corroded reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened using prestressed carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets. The proposed model considers the fatigue properties of the constituent materials as well as the section equilibrium. The model provides a rational approach that can be used to explicitly assess the failure mod...
متن کاملThe Tension-Stiffening Contribution of NSM CFRP to the Behavior of Strengthened RC Beams
Tension stiffening is a characteristic behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) beams which is directly affected by the bond-slip property of steel bar and concrete interfaces. A beam strengthened with a near-surface mounted (NSM) technique would be even more affected by tension stiffening, as the NSM reinforcement also possess a bond-slip property. Yet assessing how much the tension stiffening of ...
متن کاملNon-Linear Finite Element Analysis of RC Slabs Strengthened with CFRP Laminates
The present study deals with the finite element modelling of control RC slabs and strengthened slabs with the help of ANSYS. ANSYS is software that is based on FE method in which modelling of RC structures is done. In this study, a control slab was modelled and the results were analysed and then strengthened slabs were modelled and analysed. The results of the control and strengthened slabs wer...
متن کاملnumerical analysis of rc beams flexurally strengthened by cfrp laminates
this paper presents the results of analytical studies concerning the flexuralstrengthening of reinforced concrete beams by external bonding of high-strength lightweightcarbon fiber reinforced plastic (cfrp) plates to tension face of the beam. three groups of beamswere tested analytically and compared with existing experimental results. results of the numericalanalyses showed that, although addi...
